Handlung
Horton ist ein sympathischer, phantasievoller Elefant, auf den man sich verlassen kann. Er lebt im Dschungel von Nümpels und hört eines Tages den Hilferuf eines Staubkorns: es sind die Hus. Für Horton ist klar, er muss Hu-Heim und dessen winzig kleine Kreaturen trotz des Spottes und der bösen Streiche anderer Dschungelbewohner beschützen: denn ein Mensch ist ein Mensch wie klein er auch sei. Dabei muss er sich vor allem gegen das überfürsorgliche Känguru und den fiesen Adler Vlad durchsetzen; aber auch die anderen Bewohner des Dschungels sehen durch Hortons angebliche Verrücktheit ihre Gemeinschaft bedroht.
