Handlung
Captain Charles Boone (Adrien Brody) kehrt um 1850 mit seinen drei Kindern in das Haus seiner Familie im kleinen, verschlafenen Ort Preacher’s Corner in Maine zurück, nachdem seine Frau auf See ums Leben gekommen ist. Allerdings trügt der beschauliche Schein, und Boone muss sich mit der schmutzigen Geschichte seiner Familie auseinandersetzen, um eine Dunkelheit auszutreiben, die die Boones schon seit Generationen plagt.
